Shpock is the platform bringing a little joy to the world of selling and buying, making it easy and safe to turn (nearly) anything into cash. With Shpock’s Secure Delivery feature millions of sellers nationwide can receive payments for items and organise shipping easily, all for free. You will be part of the Trust & Safety team. As an Android developer, you will help the team discover, design and implement the best solutions that help our users stay safe and increase the level of trust in our platform.
Trust squad is a diverse team of 10 people. We have 2 backend engineers, one iOS developer, Android developer and a web engineer. In this team, we also have a scrum master, product manager, QA, product designer and a customer support agent.
Speaking of the engineers, they are in a range from mid to senior, willing to share knowledge with you and help you onboard.
We use modern Android development tools and frameworks. All new features are implemented using Kotlin, Jetpack ViewModels, RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit and code is tested using JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric and Espresso tests.

Note: Currently we are working remotely until June 2021. Post-Covid, this role will be located in our Vienna office.

We offer an attractive salary for this position based on your qualifications and experience. Austrian law requires us to post a minimum salary for this position, which is € 45.000,- gross per year (for a full-time job). We are willing to pay more based on the experience.
